“Team Brief” is the official podcast of the Academic Collaborative for Equality and Inclusivity in Surgery (ACEIS) UK. Launched on 8th March 2023, this podcast it is intended to reflect the consciousness of the organisation and its allies. Through conversation, we hope to tackle interesting subjects that affect the surgical profession; also we will attempt to navigate complex issues that act as barriers to equity and inclusivity in society as a whole; this podcast seeks to inspire its listeners to start their own conversations within their own native environments, thereby fostering much needed change for the better.
Series 1: This maiden series is an ode to the International Women’s Day celebrations 2023. We remind ourselves of some of the progress made but we do not lose sight of the deficiencies and the devastating global impact of gender inequity.
